Our passion reaches from Albuquerque to Africa. We support ministries that take place in our neighborhood, such as Albuquerque Christian School, and also African Christian College which we helped start in 1967.
People from Montgomery have served Honduras, Haiti, Mexico and various cities in the United States on short term mission trips.
African Christian College
We helped start, and still financially support, African Christian College in Swaziland. By following their goals of “Studying God’s Word and Serving God’s World”, ACC aims to transform Swaziland by developing strong Christian leaders. Click here for an African Christian College update.
Christian Relief Fund
CRF houses and schools orphans, provides disaster relief, builds water wells and brings the love of Christ to people in over a dozen countries. In addition to financial support, Montgomery has partnered with CRF for mission trips.
The Shuman Family
Landon and Courtney Shuman serve as missionaries in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, the largest city in the country. Along with their children Amanda and Radyn, the Shumans are part of the NEEMA House team, a mission group supported by multiple American churches.
Albuquerque Christian Children's Home
Montgomery partners with other local churches in financially supporting ACCH. Most of the children at ACCH come from crisis situations related to abuse and abandonment. In addition to providing a home, ACCH helps the children get involved in churches and Bible studies.
Albuquerque Christian School
Montgomery shares a building with the Albuquerque Christain School, whose goal is to serve the Lord by providing a Christ-centered, quality, educational program. Church staff and ACS teachers and administrators work together to provide a Christian home for the many different students that attend the school.
University of New Mexico Student Center
With a location directly across the street from the UNM Campus, the Christian Student Center hosts nights of worship, bible study and outreach regularly for college students. The Christian Student Center has two full-time staff positions that are funded by multiple churches in Albuquerque.
Family Promise is a part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network, which has 182 affiliates and over 160,000 volunteers. Together with those volunteers, Family Promise provides shelter, meals, and housing and job placement support to more than 49,000 homeless family members annually.
Help Chest is a way for Montgomery to directly serve the people in our neighborhood. We provide financial assistance for various needs, whether it be rent or bills. A food pantry is also a big part of Help Chest— we give food each day to people in need.
