Hey Kids and Families!
It’s been a while! It has been a busy couple of weeks! But here we go! Let’s finish up our LOVE series!!
This will be our 3rd and final week of our LOVE series! There are so many wonderful Bible stories that share God’s great LOVE with us! All of them do, in fact! This week, we will focus on God sending His Son Jesus as a BIG LOVE gift to us!
READ 1 JOHN 4:9-12 (God lovingly sent Jesus)
We know God loves us because He sent Jesus, who was perfect, to die and pay for our sins.

TRY THIS: Fun and Easy Illustration of How Jesus Makes Us Clean and NEW!
Gather the following supplies:
A dirty penny
1 tsp. salt
¼ cup of vinegar
With the kids, combine the vinegar and salt in a cup.
Drop the dirty penny into the cup and allow it to sit for about five minutes.
When you pull the penny out of the cup, you will find the old, dirty penny has been transformed into a clean, shiny penny.
Discuss how the penny demonstrates sin in our lives. The dirty penny is like our sin-filled lives, but when we accept Jesus as our Savior and receive His forgiveness, He washes away our sin and we’re made “new” – just like the penny!
What is a sin? (Anything bad that we do.)
Why is it loving that God would send Jesus? (Because we can’t pay for our own sins, so God provided a way for us to be able to have a relationship with Him and go to Heaven.)
How do we go to Heaven? (By believing in Jesus, admitting we do bad things, and asking God for forgiveness.)
REVIEW FROM LESSON #18:
Read Genesis 1:1 (God’s creation shows His love.)
Ask your kids to name beautiful things that God has created (such as flowers, rainbows, animals, etc). Explain that God created all these things IN LOVE, because He knew they would show us more about Him. Then tell kids that we are God’s BEST creations because we are made in His image!
1. Name a beautiful creation you can see at night. (Stars, moon, etc.)
2. Name a beautiful creation found in the ocean. (Seashells, fish, dolphins, etc.)
CONCLUSION FOR OUR LOVE SERIES!
We know God is loving because He sent Jesus to die for our sins so we may have a relationship with Him and go to Heaven. We also know that God is loving because every created thing has a purpose and points us to Him.
I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below -- indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.~ Romans 8:38-39 (NLT)
We hope you have a very blessed and stress free week as a family. We miss you and love you very much. Stay well and keep washing those hands A LOT!
