Montgomery is excited about serving in the community and making Christ known. Below are a few options to help you find places that you can serve both in the community and at Montgomery. WITHIN THE COMMUNITY

Description: Breakfast (5:30 AM for 1-8 people) or dinner ( for the homeless, Offers a Sunday evening worship service and phone work for volunteers (calling for donations). Choir singing from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.

Needs: Yard work, trees trimmed, yard work in morning, serve meals (Lunch and dinner with 10 or more), transition to yard work, serving lunch on Sunday for 150 people and thrift store.

Cuidando Los Ninos Day Care

Description: Day care for homeless children
Needs: volunteers in classrooms, kitchen help on Wednesday nights, work on property and then care for kids 6-10 students. Adults can read books, play with kids and give attention. Additional Needs: data entry, maintenance and sorting donated items.
Ages: 3-5 preschool, 1 ½ to 3 toddlers

The Storehouse

Wednesday Night Meals

Interfaith Hospitality Network

Description: hosts homeless families and clients every 6-8 weeks at the church building. Volunteers needed to be host families, to drive vans and prepare meals.

Sunday Morning Greeters

Description: Help is needed in simply being at church greeting members and visitors as they walk in. Also to be guides for visitors that are possibly lost or have questions.

Church Building Care

Description: There are a variety of areas around the church building that are in need of care or cleanup. These range from vacuuming and dusting the auditorium, maintaining the food pantry, yard work around the building to cleaning walls.
