CARING MINISTRIES
Ministries whose focus is providing for physical and personal needs through service, training and support groups.

Angel Food Ministries: Angel Food Ministries unfortunately ceased it's operations in September 2011. When another program of this quality is located, information will be posted.
Dependency Recovery Group: A group for those struggling with alcohol, drug or other dependencies, which meets on Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m.
Counseling Ministry: Ministry of personal counseling and pastoral care for those with spiritual or personal problems.
Food Pantry: A supply room stocked with food by the church for those in need who request food.
Help Chest:
A special Montgomery Church account, funded by designated contributions to aid members who need temporary financial help.
Prayer Team:
A ministry group that prays on Sunday mornings for the church and those who request prayer, then follows up with notes of encouragement.
ABQ Christian Children's Home: Residential long-term home for at-risk children, for which Montgomery Church provides financial and hands-on support.
Family Promise of Albuquerque (formerly Interfaith Hospitality Network): An interchurch ministry, in which Montgomery Church participates, that helps families experiencing homelessness by providing shelter and food for a week at a time until they are able to find jobs and housing. Next hosting is February 5-12, 2012. Volunteer van drivers and over-night, meal and activity hosts will be needed.
Angel Tree Christmas: A divison of Prison Fellowship Ministries where Christmas gifts are purchased for children who have an incarcerated parent. Prison Fellowship contacts prisoner parents during the summer and obtains contact information for the children and gift ideas. This information is given to participating churches, who then purchase gifts on behalf of the prisoner parent.
Hospitality Ministry: A ministry that provides a meal following morning services every 2nd Sunday for our guests in attendance and those who have visited the previous month.
